THE FINALS – The Game Is Crashing Fix

How to Fix Crashes (PC Version)

If your device meets the system requirements mentioned above, there are a few other possibilities that may be causing your game to crash. To learn more about them and how to solve your problem.

Possible Reason #1: Outdated Drivers

If one or more of your drivers are currently outdated, they may cause THE FINALS to present crash problems.

To solve such problems, we advise our players to check each of the drivers from your device that may be related to the issue.

Please note that each manufacturer will have its own websites and platforms on which you can find the latest driver updates.

With that being said, graphics card driver issues are the most common. Many players likely own a card from some of the major manufacturers like NVIDIA, AMD, or Intel, for example.

As these brands produce the most common graphics cards out in the market, we will share with you the basic update procedure for each of them.

First of all, you need to identify which Graphic Card is installed on your device. Here is how to do it:

  1. Select [Windows Key] + R to open the “Run” window
  2. Type dxdiag and press Enter
  3. Select the Display tab
  4. Here, you will be able to see the name and manufacturer of your graphics card at the top left corner of the window

It is worth noting that these three manufacturers have an option to automatically update their drivers available.

Possible Reason #2: Outdated DirectX

DirectX is a feature that allows certain applications to interact with the hardware (graphics card, mouse, keyboard, speakers, among others) that you have attached to your computer and adapt to it, without taking into consideration what the hardware really is.

Since games normally demand a lot from your hardware, DirectX is there to make sure that everything runs smoothly.

By utilizing an outdated version of DirectX, THE FINALS will have issues interacting and connecting to your hardware, which may lead to a multitude of problems such as crashes, hardware input failures, cutting sound, etc.

To update your DirectX to the latest version available to your Windows version, please click here to do it right away!

Possible Reason #3: Outdated Operating System

For cases where you need to update your Operating System, please follow these steps:

Being a big gaming fan, I believe that I have a lot to share with other gamers. I got my first official job in the game industry in 2005 and continue to develop there. It's a true blessing when your passion, hobby, and job combine into something one. My favorite console is the Nintendo Switch. I think you can all guess why. Because I just bought a Steam Deck. I love playing on PC, but my main love for me will always be Xbox. Anyway, it's complicated and simple at the same time. After all, I'm back in the days of the ZX Spectrum (1994)…
