It works for me, so I believe it will for you too guys! Im playing on PS5, but you definitely should try this steps on other platforms. It takes couple of minutes to actually join someone, or becoming a host.
First of all turn off multiplatform. Now go to Galactic war (map) and try ‘Quickplay’. It will ends up with error, BUT, now you can see other players missions on planets, you can hover over it and click join.
Now just mix quickplay with direct joining tries!
